Back to QuestionsHow is the iBike Dash cycling computer different from a cycling computer "app"?
There are four important differences:
1) The iBike Dash cycling computer protects your iPhone/iPod Touch in the Phone Booth ™, and gives you the option to ride non-stop for 4 hours or more.
2) The iBike Dash takes your biking seriously, giving you accurate speed data and optional cadence and HR information. We don't guess about your speed with in-and-out GPS data.
3) The iBike app has been designed by cyclists for cyclists. You get to pick what you see and where you see it.
4) With the optional DFPM key, you can use your iBike Dash cycling computer as an amazing—and affordable—computer head for your direct force power meter.
Back to QuestionsWhat information can be stored in the cycling compter ride file?
Speed, cadence, HR, time, distance, laps, DFPM power, GPS coordinates and more can be stored with a standard sampling time of one second.
Back to QuestionsDoes the iBike Dash cycling computer measure power with it's own sensors?
No. The electronic circuit board of the cycling computer does not have the sensors required to measure power. However, with an optional DFPM key the cycling computer WILL receive ANT+ power signals from a power sensor installed elsewhere on the bike.
